Coulters welcome Ken Ireland to the team as CEO!
8 Nov 2018
It has been a fantastic year for Coulters and our clients. Our business has grown from strength to strength leading to the appointment of our new CEO Ken Ireland. Ken’s appointment follows our recent acquisition of Morton Fraser’s estate agency and conveyancing team and our expansion in East Lothian.
Ken brings extensive management and property experience having held senior management roles both in the UK and internationally. This is a strategic appointment for Coulters at a time of transition and growth for the business.
Ken said: “I’m looking forward to realising opportunities for service improvement and growth to ensure that Coulters reaches its aim of achieving the position of Scotland’s leading solicitor estate agent,”
Margaret McPherson, who has held the position of Executive Chairman at Coulters, has now moved to a non-executive role, commenting on Ken’s appointment, she said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Ken to the Board. We have a progressive business and a solid foundation to move forward with Ken on board in a full-time CEO position. As we continue to evolve as a business, the guidance and direction that he brings to this role will be invaluable.”
Ken has been focussed on the residential property sector throughout much of his career either advising the lenders, assisting the developers or advising investors in schemes ranging from 6 to 234 units. He will build upon the solid foundation in place and work with our dynamic and expert team to move the company forward in line with the evolving market.
Ken added: “It’s a privilege to take on the CEO role with Coulters and to be working alongside Margaret McPherson and the team. We have a strong combination of experienced management for the strategy and strong teams and individuals delivering exceptional service.”
“Coulters is ideally placed as an independent in a highly dynamic sector. We are progressive and responsive to changing and future market conditions – we are tackling the traditional estate agency model and challenging the existing paradigms.”
