Game on for Scottish Game Fair

As sponsors of the much-loved Terrier Racing event at the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Parklands this July, Coulters is entering into the spirit of this flagship three-day event with a stand on Osprey Row.

We have partnered with the highly acclaimed Borders Distillery to serve up a showcase of Borders’ award-winning portfolio of spirits at stand O1 Osprey Row.

The Fair not only attracts thousands of visitors through its doors year-on-year but it hosts over 400 exhibitors so this is a great opportunity for visitors, traders and sponsors alike to meet Coulters’ team of legal and property experts who are on hand to answer questions relating to all property selling , buying and conveyancing related matters whilst enjoying an introduction to some of the finest gin and whisky products you’ll find.

Coulters’ stand partner The Borders Distillery was commissioned in March 201. This is the first Scotch Whisky distillery to be built in the Scottish Borders since 1837. A thriving distillery and innovative drinks business, which is housed in a landmark building in Hawick – a town famous for its manufacturing and cashmere- is dedicated to making great whisky and gin.

The Distillery founder will be on hand throughout the Fair sampling some of their top brands including Clan Fraser Blended Whisky Lower East Side, a smooth easy drinking Blended Malt Scotch Whisky of exceptional quality and the crème de la crème William Kerr’s Borders Gin, a botanical-infused delight crafted entirely from malted Borders barley. Gin is one of the most popular drinks on the market and this innovative brand is inspired by Scotland’s most renowned plant hunter, William Kerr, whose tireless work contributed 238 new plants to the UK.

A Hawick native (1779-1814), William became a gardener at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew in London. In 1804, he was sent to Asia where his work and exploits gained him his reputation as an accomplished plant collector. He sent 238 plants back to Britain, including the shrub named in his honour, the Kerria. William Kerr Gin by the Borders Distillery is made in Hawick, handcrafted in a special copper basket feature that suspends the blend of botanicals in the vapours of the original spirit. With subtle aromas and complex flavours of juniper berries, herbs, roots, flowers and spices, the result is a classic gin of depth and taste!

This is a stand that’s well worth a visit but if you’re looking for property advice or information prior to the Fair, why don’t you contact us or check out the Borders Distillery.
